The Opportunity

As an SAP Business Systems Developer at SMART, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing SAP solutions that align with our business objectives. Reporting to the Manager – Business Applications, you’ll be responsible for configuring and developing SAP modules, with an initial focus on Human Capital Management and FICO. Your work will directly support our operational goals by improving business processes, providing end-user training, and ensuring system efficiency and effectiveness.

About the Team

You’ll join a dynamic team within our Business Applications department, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and company leadership. Our team is dedicated to leveraging SAP technology to enhance business operations and drive continuous improvement. Working with a diverse group of professionals, you will contribute to system design and development, as well as support multiple projects with your expertise.

Your Role

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to define and implement SAP solutions.
• Design and program SAP modules to enhance company operations and align with strategic objectives.
• Utilize SAP tools and ABAP language for system configuration, development, and problem resolution.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure effective system design and functionality.
• Create system documentation, including standard operating procedures and user training materials.
• Stay updated with SAP advancements and apply new technologies and methodologies to improve system performance.
• Support and collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve project goals and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in business or systems analysis, with a focus on ERP or financial reporting systems.
• Proven experience with SAP ABAP development and system implementation.
• SAP certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems, improve processes, and implement solutions.
• Proficiency in user interface design, database structures, and statistical analyses.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service orientation.
